# Is it possible to install tiles around my fireplace?

## Can tiles be used around a fireplace or hearth?

Yes, tiles are a suitable choice for hearth and fireplace surrounds due to their heat-resistant properties. Before installing tiles near heat sources, consult the product's technical specifications to confirm suitability, and ensure the adhesive and grout you use are also rated as heat resistant. Note that tiles are not suitable for installation inside the fireplace or firebox, as extreme conditions can cause them to crack and deteriorate.
